SMART Recovery Canada is committed to transparency in how we operate, share information, and steward resources. We work to provide clear and accurate information about our programs, governance, and finances, and to remain accountable to the communities we serve.

SMART Recovery Canada works with volunteers, communities, and partners to expand access to free, evidence-based recovery support across the country.
As of the end of 2025, there are over 150 publicly listed SMART Recovery meetings across Canada. While publicly available meetings are not yet available in every province and territory, efforts continue to support growth and access where possible.
Since 2013, more than 2,000 facilitators have been trained to deliver SMART Recovery meetings in Canada. In addition to publicly listed meetings, many community-based organizations, recovery-oriented services, housing and shelter programs, and other support settings have staff trained as facilitators to host private SMART Recovery meetings for the populations they serve. These private meetings are not publicly listed or centrally tracked.
Expanding access includes supporting communities where recovery resources may be limited or difficult to access. We focus on measuring access, participation, and capacity-building, while continuing to improve how we understand and report impact over time.
SMART Recovery Canada is supported by individuals, foundations, and organizations whose contributions help sustain free, evidence-based recovery support across the country.
Supporters are acknowledged with permission. Contributions do not influence the content or delivery of SMART Recovery programs.
